COBALT / PERFORMANCE REFERENCE

Prop Charts.

Understand the setup behind a recorded run.

Explore actual engine and propeller observations in the 2027 Cobalt Prop Charts, Revision A. Choose a source model tab, then narrow the engine setup.

Revision A: July 21, 2026. Workbook modified July 30, 2026; reviewed October 2, 2026. The edition year does not mean every test occurred in 2027. These observations are reference information, with no speed or acceleration guarantee.

Each bar is one recorded configuration observation, not a continuous RPM/speed curve. Rows under review and missing or malformed measurements are omitted from the relevant chart and retained below. Conditions, load and engine count may differ; avoid direct performance rankings.

What the numbers mean.

Prop codes aren't pitch

Codes such as FH or K identify a propeller family or configuration. A code or part number alone is not a pitch measurement. Where diameter × pitch is explicitly recorded, we retain that text. Match the exact manufacturer part number and drive before choosing a replacement.

Diameter and pitch

Diameter describes the circle swept by the blades. Pitch describes the theoretical forward travel in one revolution without slip. A higher pitch is not automatically a better choice; the right propeller must suit the engine, boat, intended use and operating RPM.

RPM and speed

RPM is engine revolutions per minute. The source labels MPH and RPM, but does not establish top speed, wide-open throttle or cruise speed. We use “Recorded speed” and “Recorded test RPM.” Ranges and multiple RPM readings stay as written; they are not averaged.

Seconds on plane

The source explicitly uses seconds on plane. This is a recorded acceleration observation, not a promise of your boat's result. Load, trim, water, weather and propeller setup can change the result. A missing value means unknown, never zero.

Horsepower and engine count

PHP is the individual engine rating. Counts appear only where a source section explicitly says single, twin or triple. Unspecified counts stay unspecified; we do not infer combined horsepower from a model name or propeller parts.

Source labels matter

R24, R26 and R28 source tabs contain rows labeled R4, R6 and R8. Those labels remain separate. The separate 26R tab also stays separate. Older tests do not establish specifications for a current-year retail boat. Undefined source marker “(g)” is retained without calling it GPS.

No fuel-burn, cruise or range data is provided by this workbook. Confirm the exact boat, engine and propeller with Village Marina; consult the manufacturer's operating instructions for appropriate RPM and installation.
