History and Evolution

Founded in 1962, Village Marina is the longest continuously operated marina and boat dealership at Lake of the Ozarks. Initially equipped with 30 slips, the largest of which could accommodate a 25-foot boat, the marina has significantly expanded. Today, it boasts 60 premium slips capable of holding boats up to 60 feet in length. Since its inception, the marina has had three owners, with Patrick and Kathie Brick from Des Moines, Iowa, taking ownership in 1993. Patrick, a former attorney, transitioned into the marina business, steering Village Marina toward substantial growth.

Current Operations

From its humble beginnings, Village Marina has evolved into a comprehensive destination. It now features:

• A restaurant and swim-up bar

• Bombay Boat Rentals, a large boat rental company

• A highway showroom

• A 24-hour fuel dock

• Slips available for lease

These amenities reflect Village Marina’s transformation into a full-service hub for boating enthusiasts at Lake of the Ozarks.

Partnership with Cobalt Boats

Village Marina’s growth is closely tied to its longstanding relationship with Cobalt Boats. As the first Cobalt dealership in the central region, Village Marina has played a pivotal role in the brand’s presence. In 1993, the largest Cobalt boat was 25 feet; today, 40-foot Cobalt boats are a common sight on the lake. In 2009, Village Marina became an exclusive Cobalt dealer, discontinuing other brands. This strategic focus has led to significant recognition, with Village Marina being named the Largest Single Market Dealer in the World for Cobalt Boats for three consecutive years (2023–2025).
